These guidelines identify standard methods that are recommended for the analysis of lecithin co-products. This procedure is applicable to the following co-products related to lecithin manufacture: deodorizer distillate, soapstock, clabberstock/pit skimmings, and spent bleaching earth. The standard methods recommended for the characterization of lecithin related co-products and by-products are shown in Table 1.
