This specification covers steel tie plates for use in railroad track.

Two grades of tie plates are described: Grade 1, low-carbon, and Grade 2, high-carbon-hot-worked.

The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
