Flash Point, Closed Cup Method

This method determines the temperature at which the test sample will flash when a test flame is applied under the conditions specified for the test. (Modified Closed Cup Method, ASTM Designation D 93-80). Applicable to animal, vegetable, and marine fats and oils. The fats and oils may or may not contain small amounts of volatile inflammable solvents.
