This method determines the moisture and any other material volatile under the conditions of the test. Applicable to all normal fats and oils, except those of the coconut oil group containing 1 percent or more of free fatty acids. For those fats, use the hot plate method, AOCS Official Method Ca 2b-38. Method Ca 2d-25 is not applicable to fats containing added monoglycerides.
