This method determines the moisture by distillation with an immiscible solvent. This method is applicable to all normal fats and oils, including emulsions, for the determination of moisture only, as differentiated from moisture and volatile matter. It is not applicable to samples containing water-miscible volatile substances or to samples containing added monoglycerides.
