This procedure is for the simultaneous determination of oil, moisture and volatile matter, and protein in oilseeds by near-infrared reflectance (NIR). Determinations may be made either on the cleaned seed or on the sample as received (cleaned seed plus impurities), provided that the impurities do not exceed 2.0% by mass of the sample. The method is valid only within the calibra-tion ranges of the analyzer.
