This is a rapid method for the determination of the oil and moisture contents of commercial oilseed residues, using a pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance (pNMR) spectrometer. The method applies to oilseed residues such as flour, plates, or agglomerates, provided the particles are smaller than 2 mm and the water content is not higher than the conversion threshold.
