This method determines total nitrogen in cottonseed and cottonseeed meals by a modified Kjeldahl method using a catalyst free from mercury. Nitrogen content times 6.25 is used to calculate protein content of cottonseed and cottonseed meals. Applicable to cottonseed, cottonseed meats, and meal and ground cake or pellets from cottonseed.
