This test method was developed to detect the presence of a fluorochemical finish by evaluating the fabric’s resistance to wetting by liquid hydrocarbons of different surface tensions. This test method is used to determine the existence of finishing compounds capable of imparting a low energy surface by evaluating the fabric’s resistance to wetting. This test method is applicable to all types of fabrics.
